Guest designers

Hello! My name is Alice Wertz and I am a happy card maker living in Northern California with my sweet husband and our two cat children. I started making cards about six years ago and have been enjoying every minute of it. I love coloring with Copic markers, but I also love simple stamping and do get messy inky every once in a while. I am so honored to be invited to take part in Let's Get Trendy Now! 3 and I am looking forward to be inspired by Yvonne, Amy and Julie! =)

My name is Angi Barrs and I am thrilled to be a Guest Designer for Let's Get Trendy Now. I live in “Terrific Texas” with my teenage daughter. I’m frequently in San Diego as well visiting my college girl too. I’m a full-time junior high school English teacher and my background includes journalism, photography, and graphic design. Also, I have proudly served my country in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Not only do I make cards, but I frequently make altered projects , home décor, and party favors as well. I’ve gotten to design for some fabulous manufacturers, and have had my work published in several crafty magazines. You can find my designs at the Cokie Pop Paper Boutique.

I have been married to my husband Tyler for 14 years, and we have two little girls and one little boy, ages 7, 5, and 4. I started Scrapbooking 7 years ago and I love creating pages about our everyday lives and the big events that happen throughout the year. I really love the creative process of choosing photos and then finding just the right title, papers, and embellishments to tell the story behind the photos. I have had the privilege of serving on several Design Teams over the last couple of years, and I am currently serving on Get It Scrapped!, The Paper Bakery, Paper Issues, and Let's Get Sketchy.  I have been published in Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbook News & Review, and ScrapStreet Magazine. When I am not spending time with my family or creating, I also enjoy reading, cooking, and watching movies. You can visit me at my blog Ashley Horton Designs.

My name is Chantal Vandenberg and I live in beautiful South Australia.  I enjoy documenting fun little snippets of everyday life and presenting them in such a way, to creatively bring them to life! Well, that is what scrapbooking means to me, anyway!

I’ve been scrapbooking now for 5 years and I mainly scrapbook my two gorgeous daughters, Lucy and Heidi, and occasionally I’ll also scrapbook photos of myself and my wonderful hubby too.  In a nutshell, I think my scrapbooking style is colourful, fun and funky!
I have been so very fortunate to be published regularly in numerous magazines in Australia and overseas and I am currently on some absolutely awesome design teams, such as Flourish with a Bling, 2Crafty and Meg’s Garden.

Hi, I am Erum aka E.T. of VIBGYOR Krafts. I am from Karachi, Pakistan. I have been crafting since I was a kid. My growth in this area began when I started blogging in June 2008, taking part in challenges helped me tons. Back then I had no craft supplies and used to rely mostly on "everyday findings" and household items to make my cards. Thanks to God I have a lot more craft supplies now and they definitely help me out a lot.
I am mostly a card maker but I love making journals too. My style varies from CAS to shabby chic to heavily layered cards, but my cards ALWAYS have texture. I love texture! Drop by my blog to check out what I have done so far :)

I am so honoured to be part of the "Let's Get Trendy Now! 3" and very thankful to the ladies for letting me join in all the fun!

My name is Helen Tilbury and I live in Durban, South Africa, with my husband and 4 children.  I work full-time in the textile industry & craft & blog whenever I can - during my lunch hour, some evenings & parts of the weekend.

I stumbled across scrapbooking by pure chance 10 years ago & it immediately peaked my interest & I started attending basic lessons for a few years before my LSS closed down & I was left with nowhere to go.

Retrospectively that's when I grew my crafting wings, began my blog &  discovered the online scrapbooking/blogging community that is now an integral part of my life.

Currently I design for Scrap 365 Magazine in the UK, {see the announcement on Thursday 4th April 2012}My Creative Scrapbook Kit Club in America, Scrapmatts chipboard & Purple Pumpkin embellishments in Australia & design for and run my own challenge blog,
Scrap Around The World, and have been blogging at http://helentilbury.blogspot.com for many years now.

My style is bold, artsy & layered with my feminine pages being Modern Shabby in style & my masculine pages being grungy. I love mixed media work, gesso, black & white photography, my Instax & new & exciting supplies!

My name is Jinny Newlin.  My family and I live in a small suburb of Kansas City, just over an hour and a half north of where I grew up.  I am a former, kindergarten teacher turned adoring wife to BJ and stay-at-home, homeschool mom to a smart, spunky, nine-year-old Ezekiel and vocal, tenacious, four-year-old Adina.  When I’m not taking care of or playing with my family, you can find me cooking, baking, gardening, camping, sewing, taking pictures, and of course, paper-crafting.  My love for the latter started, over eleven years ago, at a Stampin’ Up workshop; but I have been creating with any and every form of crafting media, that I could get my hands on, since I was old enough to hold a crayon.  I’ve been honored to have had a number of published works of art, as well as to get to design for some of my most favorite manufacturers and challenge blogs, and am so excited to have been asked to participate in Let’s Get Trendy Now!  I hope that I can inspire you all to get creating.

My name is Keren Tamir and I'm 38 years old. I am a wife to a wonderful husband who is very supportive of my scrapbooking and a mother of two amazing kids;  an 11 year old boy and a 6 years old girl. I've been scrapbooking for 10 years and I mainly scrapbook about my family. I love to create and experiment with many different mediums and techniques.
My style is mainly Shabby chic but I love to combine it with mixed media. I use lots of flowers and vines on my projects mixed with pastes and mists. My style is always evolving and that’s one of the things I love about this art.
One of the main reasons I started scrapbooking was to preserve memories and photos for my children. However over the couple of years, I’ve started to enjoy another aspect of scrapbooking. I love the artistic outlet that it gives me. I love to create and I’m passionate about what I do. Hope you enjoy my creations!!

Hi, I’m Kirsty Vittetoe, born and raised in Sunny Island Singapore but now a resident in United States. I began scrapbooking way back in 1992 when my children were little, kids are always best scrapbooking subject aren’t they?
I started my crafty blog in 2009, living in New York City and far away from friends and family, I used my blog to share my handmade creation with them, and then I bumped into a card maker’s blog while searching for handmade apron online, from then on, there is no turning back for card making.
Today, I enjoy doing anything that I can do with paper, from scrapbooking, card making, altered projects to home made décor. You never know where you will find inspiration, for me, it can be from a cover page of Martha Stewart magazine to the basket of clothespin in my laundry room.
I am not sure that I have a particular scrapping style, all I know is I love trying new things and love challenges. I am truly honored to be guest designing for “Let’s get trendy now!3”, thanks for having me Yvonne!

lauren bergold loves art supplies of any kind, especially those which are vintage or glittery; and tends to regard most new-found objects by wondering whether they'd look good on a card! she blogs most days, makes christmas cards year 'round at jingle belles, uses her super-abundance of supplies creatively at shopping our stash, and shares a few funky treasures via her etsy shop just enough stuff.

My name is Laurie LaRiviere and I am so excited to be here at Let's Get Trendy!  I have been married for 17 years and have three children, Ben age 15, Analise age 13 and Zachary age 5.  I have been scrapbooking and card making for about 14 years now.  My kids are almost always the subjects on my pages.  It all started when I was invited to a Stampin' Up party 14 years ago.  I had not seen rubber stamps before and didn't even know you could make your own cards...by the end of the night, I was hooked.  I made one card and bought a set of stamps and the rest is history.  I discovered scrapbooking shortly after that.  I love to create pages that have a lot of detail, and mostly lots of color.  Bright colors on white backgrounds are usually what you'll see on my pages.  Thanks for allowing me to show you my work!

Hello! I'm Miae and I'm really excited to be a part of this year's Let's Get Trendy Now!3  workshop!

A little about me....I live in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area with my Aussie husband and our 2 fun, wonderful girls. I been scrapbooking since 2006 and I think I qualify as an addict! My style has evolved over the years but the biggest single change was adding mixed media to my pages.  I love color, I love texture and I love putting it all together!

Michelle Hernandez has been scrapbooking since 2009, when her daughter Lola was born and she suddenly found a community of like-minded people online. She is currently on the Design Teams for Scrap FX Australia, A Flair For Buttons and Inspiration Elevator. She enjoys her family, listening to stories, riding her bike, eating pizza and pretending to work while really pinning everything ever to her Pinterest boards. She blogs when she can no longer stand the yapping in her head athttp://myanaloglife.blogspot.com.

My name is Shahrul. I'm a geologist who self-taught mixed-media art, single and living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with 3 fluffy cats!. I love nature, photography and creating.

My style has evolved from simple & sweet paper creations into eclectic, curious, vintage altered things. I'm a HUGE fan of mini albums, art journaling & up-cycling projects. Recently, I discovered the joy of stitching on papers, fabrics, plastics and you name it. What a fun addition to my art :).

I am a software engineer-turned- stay-at-home-mom to a 11 month old. I am an obsessed crafter and I love experimenting with different techniques, products and ideas. I have been blogging for more than 3 years now and have learned so much along the way.

Stamping is something that fascinated me with its endless possibilities and versatility and it has stayed with me through my other experiments and adventures. Although I love making clean and simple cards, my recent new favorites are mini albums and scrapbooks and I have been quite busy making them for friends, family and happy clients.

I love pretty paper and used to hoard them but I am coming out of the phobia of putting scissors to those beautiful papers and actually putting them to use. Love how they make everything look so pretty :)

I am blessed to be able to stay at home, take care of my baby and do what I love!

I am Virginia Lu from Ontario, Canada. I am happy to be guest designing here today! I have been a fan of Yvonne’s inspiring work and it’s my absolutely pleasure to share my work here. I have been an avid card maker since 2008 and have enjoyed my paper crafting journey since. My favourite style is Clean and Simple. I like to add a “wow” factor to my cards as it gives the receivers a lasting impression and a sense of delight and charm. I also love to apply new techniques and trends into my card-making and scrapbooking. I hope my projects inspire you to try a few new things!
